Windrows are a long row of cut grains left to dry in the wind before harvesting. Harvest on the Canadian prairies is both an exciting and daunting time as farmers race to harvest their crops before winter. This piece hopes to capture the mood and energy of this time of year. This piece uses only the first five notes but features an exciting melody and percussion line that students will love to play.
