Max Williams received his Bachelor of Music in trombone performance from
Northwestern University (Chicago). He studied trombone with Frank
Crisafulli and conducting with John P. Paynter and Frederick Ockwell and
was a frequent substitute and extra player with the Chicago Symphony and
Pops orchestras. He was a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago for four
years. Mr. Williams continued his music training in Canada with the Royal
Conservatory Orchestra and the National Youth Orchestra of Canada. He holds
a Bachelor of Education Degree from the University of Western Ontario and
has been teaching music at both the elementary and secondary level for the
past 12 years. Mr. Williams remains active as a professional performer and
composer/arranger.
